Automatic view refresh has been a long-standing request, and it’s finally here! For teams living in views all day, this means new tickets and updates can show up without the constant manual refresh cycle. Alongside that, August includes a few more quality-of-life improvements, including clearer workspace alerts and smoother handling of internal service requests, assets, and task checklists directly within the ticket. Check out Augusts product releases for Support, Admin Center, and Platform below.

  • Automatically refreshing views: Views now refresh every minute so sidebar counts and ticket tables stay current without manual refresh (and auto-refresh pauses during bulk actions so it won’t interrupt selections). Read: Announcing automatically refreshing views
  • Notification improvements in Agent Workspace: Agent Workspace now adds notification sounds and dynamic favicon cues, plus mute controls and a less cluttered notification list that focuses on unsolved tickets—helpful for staying on top of updates without keeping every ticket tab open. Read: Announcing messaging notification improvements in the Agent Workspace
  • Custom field rendering update in the ticket sidebar: For ticket forms with more than 70 fields, the sidebar initially shows up to 50 custom fields with a “Show more” option—improving performance without permanently hiding any fields. Read: Adding custom ticket fields to your tickets and forms
  • Service catalog requests on behalf of others: Authorized users can submit service catalog requests for someone else (the selected user becomes the requester), and the submitter is added as a CC so they can track progress—useful for HR, IT, and assistants supporting employees. Read: Announcing service catalog requests on behalf of others
  • Organization-based asset management in ticket workflows: Agents can switch the IT Asset Management side panel context from the ticket requester to an organization, making it easier to view, assign, and unassign shared or departmental assets directly from the ticket. Read: Announcing organization-based asset management in IT Asset Management
  • Select users in the asset side panel: Agents can select another user in the IT asset panel to manage assets for the right person without changing the ticket requester—handy for “submitted on behalf of” scenarios and multi-user requests. Read: Announcing enhancements to managing assets in the context panel
  • Task events for task lists: Task events provide a history of task list activity (added, completed, reopened) and task-level changes (complete/incomplete), including who made the change—useful for auditability and smoother handoffs. Read: Announcing task events for task lists
