Would anyone be able to help and tell me if the option is now available ?  It is crucial for our business as well.

Hi Cynthia, 

 

Thanks for reaching out, this is currently in development for both iOS and Android. 

 

For Android, a read only version of side conversations is available in the new agent experience which can be turned on in settings. 

 

To view side conversations, you can open a ticket and if side conversations are enabled on your subdomain, at the top bar, you will see a button to access these. 

 

We'll be working over the coming months to GA this capability on both mobile apps which will also include the possibility to create and respond to side conversations inside a ticket.

Hello @shawna11, is there any update to this, or anywhere I can track progress? I haven't seen any new since the viewing of side convos was made available. Hoping for an update on being able to create them via the mobile app.

Hi! We have just completed a major milestone around Side Conversations availability on the Mobile App. Now, you can receive, read and respond to side conversations on your Mobile App for both iOS and Android devices. We are actively reviewing the option of building out the ability to create a side conversation from your mobile app directly and will be sharing any GA plans as soon as this has been confirmed.
