I’m currently trying to set up the Zendesk to salesforce integration and I've run into a problem. I followed the guide Setting up the Zendesk for Salesforce integration – Zendesk help but when I drag and drop the “ZenDesk_Ticket_View” LWC I get the error “Your browsing session has ended or is invalid. Please re-login to Salesforce.com again.”, but my connection to salesforce is fine. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? This is the error I get when I drag and drop the ticket lwc on the edit page. I've freshly reinstalled and double checked all settings but nothing seems out of place.
iOS SDK Mobile App: When I tap on "Start a conversation" or on Icon in navBar, is it possible to let the user choose whether to use the chat or open a ticket?
Hi, I am trying to create this tutorial https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/apps/working-with-data/getting-data-from-an-external-application/I wanted to check if everything is ok before i continue that tutorial, so I ran Zat server and I got this error bellow: ubuntu@LAP-mohamad-sam:/mnt/c/zendeskapps/Tutorial/crmInfo$ zat server/home/ubuntu/.rbenv/versions/3.0.1/lib/ruby/gems/3.0.0/gems/faraday-0.9.2/lib/faraday/options.rb:153:in `new': tried to create Proc object without a block (ArgumentError) from /home/ubuntu/.rbenv/versions/3.0.1/lib/ruby/gems/3.0.0/gems/faraday-0.9.2/lib/faraday/options.rb:153:in `memoized' from /home/ubuntu/.rbenv/versions/3.0.1/lib/ruby/gems/3.0.0/gems/faraday-0.9.2/lib/faraday/options.rb:234:in `<class:ProxyOptions>' from /home/ubuntu/.rbenv/versions/3.0.1/lib/ruby/gems/3.0.0/gems/faraday-0.9.2/lib/faraday/options.rb:216:in `<module:Faraday>'
fabric Inc are developing a ZAF support app much like the Shopify for Zendesk app avaiiable on the marketplace. We require OAuth2.0 to authorized/authenticate requests coming into fabric instances. Our requirement is as follows:1. Zendesk Sys admin will install the fabric for Zendesk App2. Sys admin will enter their client_id and client_secret that was created in fabric Instance3. Sys admin will begin OAuth2.0 flow4. Zendesk will store manage/refresh the token for use in each agent's sidebar appWe see that in the manifest you can set OAuth2.0 credentials in the "oauth" section, however it does not allow the sys admin to enter them.
recently we've found different behavior for our public vs private apps. after registering our app we create a new instance of our widget. client.on('app.registered', function (appData) { return new SessionSidebar(client, appData);}) our widget attempts to read settings: if (!isNullOrEmpty(this._metadata.settings.UserUidField)) { uidFieldName = ('user.customField:' + this._metadata.settings.UserUidField).trim();} our is null or empty parameter needs to check for the presence of string value "null" instead of simply the null type. we've found that on public apps if a user field setting is empty we'll receive a "null" string, while on private apps we'll receive a null type instead. function isNullOrEmpty(param) { return !param || typeof param !== "string" || param === "null" || param.trim() === "";} has anyone seen this behavior before?
Hi, I am designing a Zendesk support App, and I want to connect my app with Dynamics 365 CRM API using OAuth 2.0.However, I've check your technical resource https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/apps/app-developer-guide/using-the-apps-framework/#using-oauth But still it's not clear to me totally, my questions are: 1- As I understood, I may configure oauth details in manifest file after I deploy my App, is it correct? 2- for the time being i succeeded to connect but i used access token generated with Postman so my code it's look like bellow: function getTaskData(client) { var settings = { url: 'https://signpostdev.crm4.dynamics.com/api/data/v8.0/contacts', headers: { "Authorization": "Bearer eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1Q........}, type: 'GET', dataType: 'json' }; client.request(settings).then( function (data) {&n
Greetings, We've been trying to update Zendesk Web Android SDK version to 2.1.0 and faced an issue with content providers there. Our Android app has a few flavors (build variants) and with using Zendesk 2.1.0 we're not able to install more than 1 build variant (apk) at the same time on the device, because of `INSTALL_FAILED_CONFLICTING_PROVIDER` error during the installation. This issue is caused by the conflict of Android's Content Providers - there is a rule, that their `authority` declared in the AndroidManifest (and later referenced in code) should be unique per the application. Thus, Android OS won't give users a chance to install applications with the content provider whose authority is not unique (only first would be installed, all others would fail), see the SO post about this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16267785/install-shows-error-in-console-install-failed-conflicting-provider The issue with not unique authorities came into our apps from the Zendesk SDK. Take a look
Hey there, we're setting up the Salesforce App in Zendesk at the moment. We do the lookup via a custom ticket field which contains the Salesforce Account ID. We're able to display information from the Account & related Opportunities. But for example on Contacts, it shows only those who are direct contacts for the specific account. Our expectation would be that all related contacts are shown, regardless if they're direct or not Besides that we're wondering how to make use of Contact Relationships in a meaningful way, so that for example we can display the Role of the contact in the Account ThanksHans P.S. I also asked in a comment here: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408821555482/comments/4448030625562
I'm biggest on Powershell working in Windows and looping through spreadsheets perform mundane tasks. Loading info to SQL, sending emails, etc. "Powershell" didn't return much in the Zendesk community support so when I hit this combination that functioned, maybe it's of use to you. This line ran through a Powershell ISE - curl.exe https://myZen.zendesk.com/api/v2/tickets.json -d "@\\my\path\to\the\JSON\text.file" -u "myEmail@myDomain.com/token:1a2b3c4d5e6f7g8h9i0kMyToken" -X POST -H "Content-Type:Application/JSON" Where \\my\path\to\the\JSON\text.file contains the JSON built from parsing a spreadsheet with the appropriate fields - <{"ticket": { "requestor": {"name": "YourName Here"}, "email": "myEmail@myDomain.com", "submitter_id": 12345678986754321, "subject": "My ticket created by a Powershell cURL execution.", "comment": {"body": "Created this ticket"}, "assignee_email": "myEmail
We currently categorize all push notifications in our app and let user choose which one they want to receive or not. Is there any API from Zendesk Message SDK that we can turn on/off the push notification from Zendesk
I'm unable to view option to activate "Custom Object" under “Admin Center -> Objects and rules” as mentioned in below link. https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/custom-data/custom-objects/getting-started-with-custom-objects/ Can you please share how can we view this option to Active Custom Objects?
After user enters the name, email and mobile number the chat bot does not prompt to proceed with the question before connecting to the agent. User has to type something to connect with an agent after entering the user details. Let me know if there is any setting which I need to configure to fix this issue. This works perfectly on the Android SDK
Been using Harvest for quite some time to track time spend against each client etc. The ZenDesk bolt on has been great too. Previously, the time entry field has cached previous/often used entries which makes it much quicker to enter details. However, recently, there has been no cached times - they're all gone and they're not coming back. This could have happened when I had to add a few more google accounts in Chrome. However, I have now removed these and removed and reinstalled both chrome and the Zendesk addon - no luck. The cached times still show when I use Harvest just not when I use Harvest within Zendesk. Would appreciate any help.
Hello! I'm hitting the error "Invalid conditions. You must select at least one condition." when I attempt to create a view via the API using Zapier. However, i THINK i have a correctly formatted "All" condition for "Status." Any thoughts on where I'm going wrong?
Hi, I am new to Zendesk API and am trying to get interaction details within tickets via API. What I am trying to achieve is to get details of sender & timestamp for any responses from either customer or agents, for all the tickets in result set. I saw Ticket Comments provides similar information, but I am not able to apply filters in query parameter like what I can do in Search function. I also saw Incremental Ticket Event Export, but only saw start_ts as the parameter, not sure if I can also apply filters like group:A -tag:B? I also saw option of side load comment for events, but is it possible for ticket? Would like to learn what's the best practice to get a list of Tickets meeting applied criteria along with interaction details of sender&ts? Thanks! Fredic
We are using Zendesk API in one of our connector applications, but we did not find any information on possible values for attribute_value_ids. Request your help in getting information on the possible values of the property.
Hi, I am building a single page application, as part of functionality I need to fetch all contacts in zendesk sell and show it to user. I have follow zendesk sell api documentation in implementing oauth implicit flow authorization. I am able to get access_token When I execute zendesk sell api /v2/contacts, CORS error is coming up. Preflight request is getting 404 as response status.
Hey! Our team is trying to replicate some of Zendesk dashboards in Looker and we are hitting a wall when calculating measures by ourselves in Looker. For example, we are trying to calculate First Response Time. We have already tried 3 solutions: Calculating the difference between status closed or solved date and ticket creation date (this was the most accurate but still not accurate enough) Calculating the difference between any status and ticket creation date (not accurate at all) Adding first_reply_time (that dimension we get from Zendesk to our database) to ticket creation date (not accurate at all) Has anybody had the same issue? What are our options? Can we somehow extract those measures from Zendesk to our database?
As part of the setup of my server, I generated a JWT that I can verify using jwt.io. Then, when my iOS app tries to use the token to authenticate with Zendesk, I get the following error message: "failedToDecodeJWT". We are currently experiencing this issue within the sandbox (we haven't tried this in production yet). Since it seems like the token should be valid at this point, I'm not sure how to troubleshoot the problem.
Hi Team, I’m exploring the “Zendesk Support” and working with the connector, I’m creating the ticket by using Twitter accounts. I observed, which tickets I was created by using twitter account is not under the Organizations. I’m getting as API response as "organization_id": null A couple of days before the same way I was creating the tickets, In that time I observed all the tickets is part of the under default organizations. But now it’s not, only the tickets created manually by using Zendesk UI, is coming under the default organizations. Is there any functionality changes in Zendesk Support for the Tickets?
Hi there, is it possibile to extract the SLAs dataset, perhaps by means of REST APIs? It would make building custom external analytics much easier to implement. Thanks
The Zendesk API documentation mentions usage limits, stating"You can compare your request activity in the last 24 hours against your rate limit," which seems like a user account-level rate limit. While, the Zendesk API Overview suggests that the rate limits are tied to plans / endpoints: "Only allow a certain number of requests are allowed per minute depending on your plan and the endpoint."Are the rate limits based off per-user accounts, organization level plans, or something else?Namely, if I have two users making requests to an endpoint with a rate limit of 700 req/min, can they each send 700 requests or can they only send a total of 700 requests combined?

Hi, we are building our private app for Zendesk Support dashboard which enables the agents to search, filter, and also save articles. We use ZAFClient and Vue 3 to build this app, so this app is literally a Vue SPA running as Zendesk Support private app. This app uses axios to make call into Zendesk APIs to get its required data, such as currently logged in agent data, searched articles, and currently logged in agent's votes which later be processed to show agent's saved articles. Here is some zendesk APIs that are being used GET /api/v2/users/me - get currently logged in agent data GET /api/v2/help_center/users/me/votes - get votes as a reference for agent's saved articles POST /api/v2/help_center{/locale}/articles/{article_id}/up - vote/save an article for the current agent DELETE /api/v2/help_center/votes/{vote_id} - unvote/unsave an article for the current agent ... The app uses Authorization Bearer Token for those API calls, which the
