I have custom application on the ticket page. It makes call on external api and shows some information. But i want to log errors that happen during that call. Is there any instruments in zendesk for doing this?
Hi, Here is my following use-case. In my website - - I'm using Zendesk APIs to create tickets or add comments to an existing ticket. - I'm using Zendesk webhooks to listen to new comments added to that ticket, and call my website url. One thing I noticed was that, when I create a ticket, it automatically triggers the webhook (which it is supposed to). This causes loops between my website and Zendesk. Q1. Is there some way that I can filter it out? Is there a trigger condition I'm missing? I want exclude all webhook calls whose source is my API (there can be other APIs integrated in that account, and if they add a comment in the ticket, I want the webhook to hit my website). Q2. If it is not possible to prevent the webhook from being called, that's fine. I'll need to update the logic on my website. So, I was thinking of adding an external-id to every comment created from my API, so that if the webhook sends me a comment with that external-id I can drop processin
For chat mobile sdk, is it possible to create my own UI and call some api in order to send and receive message from Support agent? Thanks
I am trying to create a ticket where i have the assignee (assignee_id) as a system field but cannot set the status as solved. I have tried anything possible and it baffles me what other setting may be the cause. Please help!
Is there a way to only show an app in the nav_bar to certain users? More specifically, I'd like to completely hide the icon in the nav_bar unless the currentUser meets particular specifications. Is this possible?
Dear team, I am creating/listing sections via API. Then, I also need empty sections — they however as not listed. * I am following https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/help_center/help-center-api/sections/#list-sections* I am using the following endpoint https://<foobar>.zendesk.com/api/v2/help_center/en-us/sections.json * Using the same endpoint, empty sections are listed in a browser — they are not returned via API call * Once I manually add a single dummy article inside of an empty section — it gets returned — also in a payload requested in an API. Is there a way I could get all of the sections listed, empty ones? Thank you! Kind regards, Pavol
Actually, our requirement is to pass the authentication automatically, we have authentication flow for our application and if user has authenticated with our app, we want to pass him/her to custom faq page directly without prompting for authentication again. So, is there any way to pass the authentication programmatically without any requirement of authentication.
I'm currently building a java client for Zendesk's Rest API and something doesn't work as expected. Recently I've learned that when getting large datasets, Zendesk has introduced pagination. Among the two methods available, offset and cursor-based, it's recommended to use the latter and I'm doing so. For instance, when iterating over tickets or users, I make use of cursor based pagination. However, cursor based pagination doesn't work with Search API. As long as official documentation says (https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/ticketing/ticket-management/search/), within Result Limits, 'The Search API returns up to 1,000 results per query, with a maximum of 100 results per page. See Pagination.'. But when using my code, I get the following error: "error": {"title": "Invalid attribute","message": "You passed an invalid value for the page attribute. Invalid parameter: page must be an integer from api/v2/users/search"} When writing this post, I've realised that Offset
HI, I'm trying to do Our company's AD integration with ZenDesk. I followed the document provided by ZenDesk. https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408832064922-Configure-Zendesk-for-your-Active-Directory-Microsoft-environment Still not able sync the AD with ZenDesk repository. I contacted the ZenDesk thru online Chat and emails but no solution has been provided yet. Please help Thanks, Ahmed
Hello, We have multiple integrations between our Mobile Apps and Zendesk via Zendesk SDK, while also using the Zendesk Guide Help Center. We found a problem using HelpCenterActivity in Android. We set a RequestActivityConfig to add some custom fields to our tickets, but found that the next code works only when sending a ticket from "Help Center Articles list" screen and "Help Center Article Detail" screen, but sending a ticket from "Ticket list" screen. If the user navigate to the ticket list screen then this configuration is ignored. val requestActivityConfig: Configuration = RequestActivity.builder() .withCustomFields( listOf( CustomField(customFieldApp, context.getString(R.string.zendesk_app_name)), &nbs
Instead of just New, Opened, Solved, etc...we were wondering if there was an app that had a visual representation of where in the system their ticket is. Is there such a thing?
Hi there I've been using the Zendesk chat enterprise trial for the past 2 weeks, and am now on the paid Enterprise plan. I wanted to integrate with Klaviyo but I can't find access to the API set up anywhere. I've read all the documents on this, and a previous post - but API set up is neither in my Chat account or my Admin Center. Screengrabs attached. The closest I can get is within Chat / Settings / Account / API & SDKs and this doesn't generate a token. I am the sole admin and sole owner, so is this a glitch in my account? Any help would be hugely appreciated, as I'm about to give up and trial Freshdesk instead! Thanks, Rose
I'm trying to test an app locally in my browser, however when I run zat server it starts and then immediately stops. Since this morning the chat in the widget is not working properly. Although the department is closed and there are no operators online, the widget still shows the possibility to chat.Until now we have been using the API:chat: { departments: { enabled: ['TEST1'], select: 'TEST1' } } With this code we can direct the customer to a specific department and activate the Chat only if that department is online. Now however it doesn't work.If the department TEST1 is closed but there is an operator online from a different department (e.g. TEST2), the chat is activated and the customer's message is lost (since TEST1 is closed).Does anyone else have this problem?
An interesting use case often requires elaboration. And I thought this use case was interesting enough to be detailed out for others who have similar requirements. So here it is! The Use Case A customer wanted to sync multiple Zendesk tickets (raised by their customers) to be reflected in a single Jira Cloud issue to be taken up by the Dev team. Also, once the status on the Jira issue has been marked as “Done” from “In Progress”, the corresponding status on the Zendesk side would be changed to “Open” from “New”. A custom field called “Jira ticket #” is used as an identifier to the issue on the Jira side. Summary/ Subject, description, labels/ tags, attachments, and comments need to be synced bi-directionally between the 2 systems. The challenges Finding out the correct Jira issue ID so that the tickets are mapped correctly to it. Mapping statuses such that the customer support team using Zendesk gets the correct status updates. The Integrati
I'd like to use the Create or Update User API to bulk import and update our users. However, we use multiple organization memberships, which seems out of the norm, so I wanted to verify that it could handle this scenario. Maybe something like; { "email": "roge@example.org", "organizations": [ { "name": "Foo" }, { "name": "Bar" } ]}
Following is my code snippet. const getAccountNameFunc = async () => {const myData = client.get('ticket.customField:custom_field_4590824941204')client.set('ticket.customField:custom_field_4731199018772', myData['ticket.customField:custom_field_4590824941204'])}Am I doing something wrong ? I think the client.get returns an object. But I am not able to use the data received to set the value of another field.
Hello, I been integrating Zendesk Chat to our app recently, but came across with this problem. The Chat bot on iOS would not speak Chinese even if the system language is set to Chinese and region is China, it's aways English. But on Android it works fine, the chat bot would speak languages corresponded to the system language. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi we are integrating the unified iOS sdk in our app. The chat bot works ok and provides articles in the app. but when we try to click on the article to read it we only get a blank page.. not sure what to do here. We even used the sample app provided and get the same issue Here is the sample app just integrated with our account https://drive.google.com/file/d/13g2XHdRBzMV53QdnE5lu0pp-hVwJ-zJf/view?usp=sharing our Zendesk account is gogmgo.zendesk.com please help
We enabled Jira + Zendesk integration a few months back but neglected to add the "Zendesk Ticket IDs" and "Zendesk Ticket Count" fields in Jira until now. It seems to be working but we're running into a couple of issues: These fields don't seem to populate in existing Jira tickets until the ticket is viewed, and it doesn't seem to work every time. I can't determine what is/isn't triggering the population. For tickets that have linked Zendesk tickets, but are moved to another Jira project, these fields aren't populating at all even though the Zendesk Link persists. Is this expected?
Hi I am using the time tracking app addon from Zendesk https://www.zendesk.com/in/marketplace/apps/support/35111/time-tracking/ I really like the way the total time spent is tracked there. I am in the middle of a move from old system to zendesk ticketing system. In this partway move I need to use the old system to enter tickets, but a copy needs to be entered here in zendesk. There lots of blockers preventing me from creating in zendesk ticket in the first place. I am able to create new tickets via the API but unable to update Total time spent value. I have reached out to support, and they requested me to raise a post here in the community. I found a similar post but no reply thereHow can I get the Total time spent value from time tracking App through API? – Zendesk help Can anyone help me solve this problem? or provide an alternate way to track time spent working on a ticket.
Hey everyone, I was looking at the API docs and saw that there is an endpoint where one API call gives you 1000 tickets so that you can more easily export ALL the tickets in your system. Now I not only need all the tickets but also ALL the comments for each ticket. Is there an endpoint to make a bulk request for those too? I was only able to find the endpoint where you have to make ONE call PER ticket which seems really inefficient considering the number of tickets we are working with. Hope someone can help with this. Thanks Henny
Hello, I am attempting to POST a ticket to our ticket queue using the Zendesk API. I keep receiving a 401 error with minimal feedback as to what the issue could be. async function postData(url: string, data: object) { constresponse=awaitfetch(url, { method: 'POST', mode: 'no-cors', body: JSON.stringify(data), headers: { 'Content-Type': 'application/json', 'Accept': 'application/json', 'Authorization': 'Basic {BASE64EMAIL/PASSWORD}' } }); } I have been able to get the username and password to work over curl as well as the email and an API token.
