We're encountering intermittent issues with the Android Messaging SDK version 2.24.0 that are impacting our application's (singleinstance activity) stability and user experience. Specific Problems: Image Uploads Fail: Attempts to upload images through the SDK sometimes fail, preventing users from sharing media. Crashes: In certain cases, the app crashes completely during messaging interactions. These problems collectively create a frustrating and unreliable experience for our users. Could you please help in investigating and resolving these issues promptly to ensure the stability and usability of the Android Messaging SDK.
Hello guys!We have integrated Zendesk SDK in our Unity project, and then we started to get errors if we tried to close the Zendesk popup with a weak Internet connection while running ZendeskSdk.Instance.Messaging.ShowMessagingAsync(). It looks like we need to pass a CancellationToken to the function arguments to force the coroutines to terminate. Hello, I implemented a custom form to create tickets via API, including attachments as well, which was working 2 weeks ago without any problem.Last week the newly uploaded contents are not available anymore in the tickets created via the tickets API and the attachments cannot be loaded in the ticket. Other attachments coming from the embedded form are fine and can be loaded. The post request to the attachment API is returned successfully:https://company.zendesk.com/api/v2/uploads.json?filename=${fileName}But the uploaded file is not available on the returned value of upload.attachment.content_url and upload.attachment.content_url. Might it be a problem with the cdn server connected to the attachment API? Anybody else experiences this? All the settings in the admin and credentials for authorization are the same as 2 weeks ago when this was working perfectly. The file storage has still plenty of GB to fill up.What could be the problem? What other kind of informat
The power of Jira and Zendesk together... it's just beautiful. Out of the box, the integration allows Zendesk Agents to create or link a Jira ticket to a Zendesk ticket. However, this may not be enough. When Engineering has released the bugfix or feature, your Customer should be informed, right? That's where this User Tip comes in. If you're ok with modifying the post functions on each of your Jira workflows, you can use a previous guide. If you prefer to do this more generically across multiple Jira Workflows, keep reading! Step 1: Install the Jira Integration App on Zendesk and Jira (Cloud). Configure your Jira webhook for field syncing (in Jira). Step 2: Create a new API key in Zendesk for Private Comments: Create Webhook in Zendesk for Private Comments with the endpoint https://YOURDOMAIN.zendesk.com/api/v2/tickets/{{ticket.id}} Remember, the authentication is "basic" with the "email/token" for the user (I suggest using a service account!) and use the
We are using what i am told to be a maybe old version of a zendesk integration. Everything was fine until last week when we needed a new jwt chat token since a new version release of ZD. The point is now the profile it was creating for the chat issue is missing the email the user inputs in the beginning. If there's any guide or already opened topic about this please refer it to me. Otherwise, any hint will is welcomed.

Hello, Does anyone know if there is a way to sync the Agent status between Teams and Zendesk using the integration?
How can I trigger /oauth/authorizations/new using postman to get the code?Trying to implement a code automation to get the response code from this request. Thanks
My background1. I have marketplace website and I want to allow conversation between buyer and seller.2. I tried to implement using Sunshine conversation, Multi-party, https://docs.smooch.io/guide/multi-party-conversations/#use-cases, and web messenger.3. I tried to add seller to join the buyer's conversation with Join Conversation api, https://docs.smooch.io/rest/#operation/joinConversation, but I got the error "Participants can only join sdkGroup conversations."4. Due to the error from step 3, I tried to create conversation, https://docs.smooch.io/rest/#operation/createConversation, with type 'sdkGroup', but I get the error 'Account must have sdkGroup conversations enabled to perform this action.' Please help. Regards,Pakpoom
I can use the API to back up articles and restore specific articles. Is it possible to delete specific articles? If anyone knows how to delete articles using the API, please let me know.
I create a webhook to get tickets from Zendesk and can read out tickets and their comments, as well as user information, etc., using the Zendesk API. How can I read out information from an Instagram message? With tickets, it takes several minutes for the messages (comments) to appear. Furthermore, I am wondering how I can reply to an Instagram message. Normally, adding a comment to the ticket with the Zendesk API does not work; this is only possible with Twitter, Facebook, and email.
Hi, Can you access "View original email" via the API? Is this a possibility? If not, is there any workaround? Thanks Neville
I'm working on a ticket sidebar app that gets data from our self-hosted API endpoints. Is there a way to verify that the data requested is from one of our ZenDesk users?I see that requests have JWT tokens in the X-Zendesk-AuthN header, but there's no documentation on how to validate them. There is an option for signed URLs. However, this only applies to the initial connection and not to calls made from the app itself. What is best practice here? ZenDesk is providing a lot of great information in their requests, but there's no great way to validate it.
I have an appllication running on ticket_sidebar. I am using Zaf client ("1.0.0-beta.47")I load and parse the ticket iinformation as follows : function showSsoInfo() { client.get('ticket').then(function (data) { const requesterEmail = data['ticket'].requester.email; const createdAt = Date.parse(data['ticket'].createdAt); const ticketId = data['ticket'].id; const organization = data['ticket'].organization; if (organization !== undefined) { const externalId = organization.externalId; BACK_END_CALL(requesterEmail, createdAt, ticketId,organization); } else { BACK_END_CALL.fetchZendeskUserInfo(requesterEmail, createdAt, ticketId); } });} Since 26-08-2024 in the logs of the back end service, we have noticed that ticket creation date is coming as NaN. This issue is intermittent. Not ticket related. Fo
Hello, I tried, without success so far, to open a modal I can update the content in. There is this example code: https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/apps/apps-support-api/modal/ Now what I managed to do is open a static HTML page as a modal. But this does not help me, because I need something that can show the details of a problem ticket. There should be a way to do and I even can forward info to the modal, according to my console logs, but still it does not update the content. The content also is fixed when the modal opens, in case it would be an issue to adjust it later. But no solution yet.I have a button in the iFrame.html that opens the modal: <button id="show-problem-details" class="show-details-button">Show problem ticket content</button>The modal html is:<!DOCTYPE html><html><head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Problem Ticket Details</
Is it possible to identify user country location automatically when they interact with web widget or mobileSDK ?Another thing how make Web Widget identify the customer if he exists on our system without the need to fill in for example the name and phone number each time so that if he exists he identify the user name location and any other saved data on his profile for example ?
I'm using the Request API to submit new comments on a ticket on behalf of the original ticket creator. Tickets are automatically generated through a checkout process requiring payment with an account so from our perspective the emails are verified. We are using the OAuth process to generate a token for an admin user with the impersonate scope. Data being sent is as below: https://cleansed.zendesk.com/api/v2/requests/{ticket Id}-d {"request":{"comment":{"type":"Comment","body":"Testing, please ignore"}}}-h "X-On-Behalf-Of: "{Zendesk User ID}"-h "Bearer" : "{OAuth Token}" The response we are getting is { "error": { "title": "Forbidden", "message": "Unverified email address" } } I even tried using the User API to set the verified flag to true, then wait 10 seconds before running the Requests API process. The same request to a ticket with a verified email in Zendesk does work (although it sends the email to the ticket creator, not the ticket steward).
We're developing an application using Zendesk APIs and as I am testing using Postman I notice that all requests return HTTP 200 but don't actually update the data. I even used the same request published in the Zendesk Postman Collection For example this request to create a new user returns HTTP 200 and returns the list of users in the sandbox but the user does has not been created. Same for other requests to update users, manage user_fields or tags. If I make changes in the Sandbox through the UI then I can see those changes in GET requests This is a Standard sandbox. Even if I send an invalid JSON I still get HTTP 200 response. How do I resolve this so I can test our app? curl --location 'cheggskills1724870952.zendesk.com/api/v2/users' \ --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \ --header 'Accept: application/json' \ --header 'Authorization: ' \ --data-raw '{ "user": { "name": "User Name", "email": "user@email.com" } }'
We previously used an app called DOUBLE CHECK FILE NAME & CCs, which provided a confirmation box showing attachment names before sending emails to clients. However, this app no longer appears to be active on Zendesk. Could you please suggest the best alternative app that meets our requirements?
In my application, ZAFClient.init() only works in the index, when I go to another page, this error occurs ("Uncaught TypeError: client.get is not a function"). How to fix this error, and make ZAFClient.init() work on other pages? Not just in my index. This is my code, this is the page pattern, but it only works in my index.<script> $(document).ready(function () { const client = ZAFClient.init(); client.get(['ticket.id', 'ticket.organization.externalId', 'ticket.status']).then(function (data) { var ticketstatus = data['ticket.status']; var idcli = data["ticket.organization.externalId"] var ticket_id = data['ticket.id'] }) }); &
I have a question regarding Zendesk JWT authentication. We are currently generating a token using the following attributes:attributes = {:iat => iat, # Seconds since epoch, determine when this token is stale:jti => jti, # Unique token id, helps prevent replay attacks:name => display_name,:email => email,:external_id => user_id}We have a scenario where two users share the same email address but have different external IDs. How does Zendesk handle this? Does it identify users based solely on the email address, or will it create separate records for each user? We’ve disabled the "Update external IDs?" setting (Account -> Security -> Single sign-on -> JSON Web Token) because we don't want to override user IDs. This is due to the possibility of two users having the same email address but different external IDs, especially when they belong to different customer domains. Currently with the "Update external IDs?" disabled, if a user with an email in the system
The points I want to discuss are related to the Android SDK initialization process. initialize(Context context, String channelKey, SuccessCallback<Zendesk> successCallback, FailureCallback<Throwable > failureCallback, MessagingFactory messagingFactory) We have determined that the first init call must occur with an active internet connection, while subsequent calls succeed even without it. We want to ensure that the Zendesk instance is initialized. Should we check the connection status before calling init and do this only for the first launch? How can we determine when this check is necessary and when it is not? In addition, in the failureCallback, we receive a Throwable, and if we want to track connection failures, we need to know all the types of exceptions that can occur during the initialization process in offline mode (for example, java.net.UnknownHostException, …). I believe that the failureCallback should receive either your
Is it possible to monitor and intercept sending a message by an agent? Something akin to ticket.save for comments. Our app tries to make conversations in different languages seamless and we want to be sure that agent didn’t forget to translate their message before sending it, so we need some kind of API to check/translate a message right after agent clicked send (via keyboard shortcuts or interface elements) and before the comment is submitted.
In my trial account, I have gotten all the conversation data using "ticket.conversation.changed," but in the conversation object, the message content is null.
