When I created a new project and it ran normally, I added the onBackPressed method in the Activity and canceled super. onBackPressed() to make the return button unavailable. Everything was fine nowBut when I added it in build.gradleimplementation("zendesk.messaging:messaging-android:2.20.1")At this point, press the return button again and the program exits. Why is this? Why does this only happen in Android 14?
Hi! We are using the Sunshine API to process some WhatsApp messages but we detected some issues when we are trying to send template messages. In our application flow, before posting the template message, we try to find the user in Sunshine by their external ID, the conversations, clients, etc. Sometimes, the API response says that it couldn't find the user even if they already exist (weird thing number 1). In those cases, our flow continues and makes a request to create the user, the API responds with a 201, and the user information (weird thing number 2 as it should return a 409 conflict). After that, we create a new conversation and then try to send the message, but this last request fails with a 404 status code saying that the conversation is not found. We don't understand this as we are using the conversation ID returned by the API so it should exist. Could you help us find the issue here? I could add some information about the requests we are making.
Hello! We're experiencing an issue with Clipboard copy from our ZAF application which is located in the left navigation bar, as per manifest.json:... "signedUrls": true, "location": { "support": { "nav_bar": { "url": "...", "flexible": true } } }, ...Our app is firing an error on attempting to copy any text to the clipboard:[Violation] Permissions policy violation: The Clipboard API has been blocked because of a permissions policy applied to the current document. It turns out that any ZAF application is automatically placed by Zendesk inside an <iframe> which is a cross origin iframe. According to our research it should be possible to resolve this by adding following 'allow' attribute to the iframe, but this should be done by Zendesk!<iframe src="index.html" allow="clipboard-read; clipboard-write"></iframe>We use standard code to fill-in the clipboard:navigator.clipboard.writeText("string"))see doc here:https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/
I have a group in Azure AD called ZenDesk from which agents are set to be auto-provisioned. Yesterday, I made a change in the ZenDesk application scoping filters in Azure AD to set it to provision only assigned users and groups. For some reason, when I did that, things stopped working. Multiple agents were deleted from ZenDesk and their tickets were unassigned. I tried switching it back to "Sync all users and groups", but when I try to re-provision those users who were deleted, I get an error in Azure: Error code MappingEvaluationFailed Error message An error occurred while evaluating this function: 'custom_roles = AppRoleAssignmentsComplex(source: appRoleAssignments).'
Hello, Currently I'm trying to create a ticket in Zendesk via the API. Users should be able to fill in a custom form on my website and upload a file. On submission a ticket with the file should be created in Zendesk. Creating the ticket itself is working fine. As far as I can see, so is uploading the file (although I'm not sure), but I can't attach the file to a ticket via a comment, because I'm not able to get the ID from the created ticket from the response. Below the code sample: <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.6.4/jquery.min.js"></script><script> function formValidation() { var easyWalker = $("#choose_product option:selected").html(); var batchNumber = document.getElementById("batch_number").value; var color = document.getElementById("color").value; var firstName = document.getElementById("first_name").value; &n
My question concerns this article .We have a specially developed automation that runs on our server and deletes old chats. This authorizes itself in the live chat API with the client credentials flow where the client ID and the client secret are exchanged for an access token. As the API does not accept API tokens, we have no other option. The article does not mention the Client Credentials Flow, so I want to make sure that it can still be used in the future.
Good morning, I have a strange behaviour when uploading files via API. If I use Zendesk own ZAF client for my request then the uploaded PDF is corrupt, if the upload is made via a JQuery request, for example, then the file is OK. Source with Client.Request / Corrupt Upload Fileasync function fetchFile(fileUrl, fileName, filecontentType) { try { const blobResponse = await $.ajax({ url: fileUrl, method: 'GET', xhrFields: { responseType: 'blob' } }); var formData = new FormData(); formData.append('file', blobResponse, fileName); const options = { url: '/api/v2/uploads.json?filename=' + encodeURIComponent(fileName), type: 'POST', processData: false, contentType: false, headers: { 'Content-Type': filecontentType }, data: formData }; const response = await c
Why can't I get the Authentication to work url = "https://sandboxdomain.zendesk.com/api/v2/tickets/"url1 = "/audits.json" response = requests.request( "GET", url+ticket[0]+url1, auth=('myuser@workdomain.com/token:{ZD provided token}',""), headers=headers)
I'm baffled as to how to ultimately get our backend service to talk to the Chat API so we can add users/organizations programmatically. I have read the countless posts about it and besides being out of date they tend to use the same terminology for different things and ultimately link back to stuff that doesn't help. Surely I cannot be the only person trying to do this very simple thing. Here's what I understand at this point. - There are 2 different APIs and oauth clients. The first API/client is related to “managing” Zendesk stuff. The second API/client is specifically for Chat API. I have no idea if this is correct or why this even exists but let's move on.- In order to use client credentials for the Chat API we have to first create the OAuth client in the UX, then use Postman or related to update that client to mark it as confidential Here's what we want to do.- Programmatically create new/update existing users and organizations via the API with NO interaction from t
Hello!!We are planning to activate Single Sign-On (SSO) in our Zendesk account. According to the information provided in this article (https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/ticketing/using-the-zendesk-api/using-the-api-with-2-factor-authentication-enabled/), as long as we use the API token to connect to the Zendesk API, there shouldn't be any issues. We have already reached out to all external services that trigger webhooks to Zendesk, and they have confirmed that they are using the API token for authentication. Are there any additional restrictions or considerations we should be aware of before activating SSO to ensure that these API calls will continue to function properly? Or would it be safe to proceed with the activation under these conditions?Thank you for your assistance.
How can I create conversation extension ?I am trying to ask custom questions at end of issue resolution, but we dont know where to add the code. https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/zendesk-web-widget-sdks/conversation_extensions/?_ga=2.1234033.1937617194.1720432128-2021468168.1715704007&_gl=1*16b128j*_ga*MjAyMTQ2ODE2OC4xNzE1NzA0MDA3*_ga_0G6FC9CS2V*MTcyMDQzNTYxNy4yMi4xLjE3MjA0MzU2ODUuNTkuMC4w
Hi Zendesk Team, I have trouble while implementing Zendesk SDK on Android. The issue related on Desugaring Process that impacted to another internal module that use some dependencies like coroutine, imageutils, etc. I already attach the issue for further information regarding the issueThank you
So I've read through the Single sign-on (SSO) options in Zendesk and in the About enterprise SSO it seems we need to create a login button that would allow our users to be taken to Steam to be signed in. Is there a way for us to create steam login option in our Zendesk Sign-in page ?
Hi! I'm in the process of switching our iOS app from UIKit to SwiftUI, and whenever I try to present the request screen (with RequestUi.buildRequestUi(with: [RequestUiConfiguration()])) in a modal sheet, contained in a NavigationView, or in the current NavigationView, and then begin to interact with the view, at some point (very fast), everything stops working (no UI interactions). Hi support team. I'm doing configuration for my app to get push notification when our agent reply to the ticket support to end-user on Mobile app. I followed this guide link. Here is my configuration: I'm pretty sure that the mobile SDK has been initialized correctly. But my webhook doesn't get fired when agent reply to a ticket.
Context: When our app is sent to background for X minutes and opened later, the user has to authenticate/login again, just like most baking apps. Problem: If the conversation was open before the app was sent to the background, when the app comes to the foreground again, the conversation is visible. Goal: Programmatically close the conversation when the app goes to backgroundI created a Zendesk Support ticket and already got some responses, but they also suggested to create a ticket in dev community. For iOS I've been told that I could close the conversation screen by adding the view to a new UI controller which I could destroy whenever I want, and I got this link just in case I want to try something similar:https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4420766059930/comments/4596294062362However, I don't know how can I get this done in Android. Questions: Do you have any example of how to do that in Android? It would be great to add both examples to your GitHub demos/reposi
I'm trying to upload an app to the Zendesk Marketplace. I've fixed all other errors (image size, etc, manifest file). When I try to upload, I get the following error: 1 error must be addressed before proceedingError: Something went wrong when trying to validate your app. Please try again or contact Zendesk Support: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408843597850 - Also, there's a toast message in the upper-right corner that says "Unexpected Token T. resource... not a valid JSON". Could you help me figure out what is going on? Thanks!

I'm trying to build a Zendesk Support App. It seems that some of the react documentation is mismatched between the wiki and the github repository, so some things are unclear.Mainly, I'm having trouble setting the ticket sidebar url here."location": { "support": { "ticket_sidebar": { "url": "http://localhost:3000/", "flexible": true } } },This default URL works when testing locally, but when installing the app in zendesk, it just displays “localhost refused to connect”. The app works perfectly when testing locally, however. I've tried changin the url to “assets/index.html” as seen in other posts to no avail. Is there a specific location where I should point ticket sidebar to for production that I'm not seeing?
Hi there! First time posting here but long time reader. I am looking to reference a “field_key” value with a Custom Object that I associated with a ticket. For context, I have a lookup field in my ticket directly associated with the records in the Custom Object and I would like to pull the value one of the Custom Object fields to use in an API call externally. I've tried to use the following placeholder in the JSON of my API call but it is returning a blank value:{{custom_objects.myobjectkey.custom_fields.thefieldkey}} I've ensured that there is no typos in my copying of the object key and field key into the placeholder. Not sure if I need to reference the field ID value of the lookup field instead. Does anyone know if there is a way to reference this data? Or is what I am trying to achieve not possible at this time?
Hey all, We have an AI customer support app in the Zendesk marketplace. One of the features of this app is to insert an answer drafted by AI (using knowledge from your help docs) into the editor. The code we're using is:client.invoke("ticket.editor.insert", answer); My understanding is that HTML can be passed into this, which is fine and working for links, bold, italics, etc. But, I can't find any way to pass in a line break e.g. <br>Has anyone else come across this or managed to solve this?
When I run "zcli apps:package" in the command prompt in the root directory of the app, the following error is displayed.» Error: AxiosError: Request failed with status code 500Although an error occurred, a zip file was created in the tmp folder, and when I tried to upload the app using "zendesk developers", the following error was displayed:» The task failed because of an error: invalid byte sequence in UTF-8» 1 error must be addressed before proceeding Error: Something went wrong when trying to validate your app. Please try again or contact Zendesk Support: I'll also post the manifest file.{ "name": "***", "author": { "name": "***", "email": "***", "url": "***" }, "defaultLocale": "en", "private": false, "location": { "support": { "ticket_sidebar": { "url": "assets/HTML/iframe.html", "flexible": true &n
