I'm trying to build an app in the ticket sidebar that requires google oauth to hit some of our backend apis via id_token. I'm running into issues with trying to do the redirect_uri as i keep getting the `redirect_uri_mismatch` on Google despite adding a few different urls going back to zendesk. Does anybody have any configurations to share that utilize Google OAuth for a single page application (react app) as an iframe?
Hi all,I'm looking to connect Zendesk with Excel Power Query using the API, however, all of the authentication methods that are provided when trying to connect the data source don't allow me to connect. I have tried all methods, but I assume that the Web API is the way to go. However, when I add in my API key it comes up with the error: "A web API key can only be specified when a web API key name is provided".I appreciate this may be more of an Excel question than a Zendesk question, but if anyone has any experience or knowledge about this I would be grateful for some assistance! Thanks ever so much!
How to insert LiveChat widget to my Next.js website? I tried inserting it like: <> <Script type="text/javascript" src="https://static.zdassets.com/ekr/snippet.js?key=abc123..." strategy='beforeInteractive' /> but getting Key is missing from Snippet
We have integrated the Android messaging SDK in our app. We have added the Clickable Links delegate to customize handling of URLs in the chat. When user clicks on a link in the chat, we want to close the chat activity (ConversationActivity). We have achieved this on iOS. But, unable to do that on Android. getCurrentActivity() on Android returns the parent activity, and not the ConversationActivity.
We'd like to provide our end users with new request page links where some fields are pre-filled. Due to the pre-fill content, the length may be an issue (eg a 374 character URL), and the plain text nature of the field values in the URL itself, we'd like to apply some kind of masking. I can generate tokens based on the data we want to provide in the pre-fill URL, but is there a way for Zendesk to decrypt this?
Among the APPs I'm using, I'm using a third-party api using a Zendesk proxy server, but the X-Zendesk-AuthN header value is too long in the header value, causing an error.(431 Request Header Fields Too Large)Is there a way to clear the X-Zendesk-AuthN header value?
We are using mobile sdk for android and iOS. Some of our users, (approx 1200+), are not able to view their tickets on our application. We checked everything on our side. And would like to know what could be the root cause. One test account that we have in a live environment is also facing the same issue. Email ID for that account is kunal@banknovo.comWe need urgent help in this matter. Thanks
Hi. My integration must change custom fields to set values and eventually add attachments to tickets. To test I have built the basic setup to make this work. I am able to authenticate my integration, send my payload and receive the full ticket data back, but the custom fields do not change to their required values. Pasting the code for inspection. To be clear, I have validated all variables, and we're getting a 200 response so it's all working. Just adding a comment as well, but I have attempted this simple change with just the custom_fields object, an all other combinations. complete_url = f"{url}{endpoint}/{ticketID}.json" payload = { 'ticket': { 'subject': f"**Ignore** Test #1 {datetime.now().isoformat()}", 'comment': { 'body': f"Ticket updated by API {datetime.now().isoformat()}"
We are currently exploring the capability to selectively display or hide specific HTML content within our Zendesk Guide upon attributes we assign to our customers, derived from a sync with Salesforce. The attribute in question is the User Role field, situated on the user's page, which encapsulates a comma-separated string denoting the user's roles in our backend system—namely, 'Agent,' 'Admin,' 'Owner,' or 'Supervisor.' In our attempt to retrieve this information, we employed the GET /api/v2/users/me endpoint, aiming to procure the roles assigned to the current user. However, we found out that full information is returned back to the browser if the logged in user is a "Zendesk Agent", but the full information is not returned to the browser if the logged in user is a "Zendesk End-User". Are there any viable workarounds or alternative approaches to overcome this limitation?
Hi,We are trying to do OAtuh on Zendesk using the below URL format, which we load in the new Popup window which ultimately redirects us to the Login page and we were able to do the authentication using the credentials. But during this flow, we are Loosing the context of the Original window which was opened. Because of that we are not able to read the query params from the Successful redirect URL.Now we wanted to understand what possibly can be the issue with that?We suspect if there is some particular header specific to security or any other issue which don't allow us to do that. URL Format:“https://ringcentraldev.zendesk.com/oauth/authorizations/new?response_type=code&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fsample-api.integration.ringcentral.com%2Fcrm-framework%2Fv1%2Fservices%2Fzendesk%2Fauth%2Fredirect&client_id=sample-idl&scope=read+tickets%3Awrite+users%3Awrite&state=%257B%2522%D”
Hi! I have a question about Zendesk Support SDK 5.2.0 for Android. We are currently using Zendesk SDK 1.9.0.1 We are using a custom button using Android's 'FloatingActionButton'. If you press the '+' button, a pop-up will appear as shown in number '2', and if you press the 'OK' button, you will be moved to the Zendesk input window. We would like to apply this to 5.2.0 as well. However, the SDK structure does not appear to allow this.Could this apply? If possible, where can I refer to?
Use iOS zendesk SDK version 8.0.0, when call RequestUi.buildRequestList() or RequestUi.buildRequestUi(with: [config]) will show failed to load comments occasionally
I have tried curl https://{subdomain}.zendesk.com/api/v2/help_center/incremental/articles/cursor.json?start_time=2024-07-29T08:00:00Z -u user/token:token, but it does not work, does the article's incremental API support cursor-based pagination now?
We have webhooks set up to notify when a ticket is updated in Zendesk, but it looks like when a comment is added to a ticket, the webhook doesn't let us know whether the comment is private or public. In the screenshot you can see that the ticket was updated with a comment (and it is an internal comment), but the webhook comment_publicity field is blank. I've also tested this with public comments and that field is still blank.

Hi, I am trying to create tickets in Zendesk via API directly with the status as 'solved', but I keep receiving the error 'Assignee is required when solving a ticket', but as the title says I am including the assignee_id in the request payload. Here is an example of what I am using: { "ticket": { "type": "question", "priority": "", "status": "solved", "assignee_id": 14550462340498, "group_id": 12413024486162, "subject": "APP", "description": "Test Ticket", "brand_id": 11899455851026, "requester_id": 15273840527890, &nb

Although the messaging widget seems to work correctly, we get this error from many users in our error reports in Sentry. Any idea what may cause this error? We switched from classic to messaging about a month ago and we have updated the embed code. Error: Method webWidget:on.open does not exist. Check out the Developer API docs to make sure you're implementing it correctly, https://developer.zendesk.com/embeddables/docs/zendesk-sdk-for-web/getting_started
We are trying to use Podio's globiflow to interact with ZenDesk tickets. After many attempts, we have it able to post an internal comment to a ticket using this: The last thing I need to do it to append to a custom field we have in the left panel that is a multiline text field. I want to take the CommentToPost and either set it as the value of that field if it's currently empty, or append a newline and the comment if there is currently text. I got some generic advice from Zen support which I wasn't able to interpret into a result, so would be very appreciative of anyone who had some suggestions. Thank you.
Hello everyone,I'm Ajay, and I'm facing an issue with setting up 301 redirects using Zendesk's public APIs. Here’s what I have done so far:I've set the redirects using the following cURL command: curl --location 'https://spotdraft8511.zendesk.com/api/v2/guide/redirect_rules' \ --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \ --header 'Authorization: Basic *******************************' \ --header 'Cookie: __cfruid=***************************************' \ --data '{ "redirect_rule": { "redirect_from": "/test", "redirect_status": 301, "redirect_to": "https://starship.spotdraftteam.com/hc/en-us/articles/20189112202269-Glossary-of-Terms" } }' The API response confirms that the redirects are set: { "records": [ { "id": "01J2ZXX210RNZNMR85AZX2NX4T", "brand_id": "18869586801565", "redirect_from": "/test", "redirect_status": "301", "redirect_to": "https://spotdraft8511.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/20189112202269-Glossary-of-Terms", "created_at": "2024-07-17T08:45:50.000Z", "updated_at
Hey community, We have a third party app in Zendesk that helps in triggering surveys when a user configured action is met in the app. This works for events like Ticket Create, Ticket Update and so on. As an example, we have developed the app in such a away that whenever a ticket is created or updated, if this meets the conditions configured in the app it would process a trigger. However, we noticed a behaviour that if the ticket is updated via an automation, the app is not triggering the same. However, for the same conditions if an agent or the admin updates the ticket it is getting triggered. Is this an issue from Zendesk side or is there anything to be updated in the app from the development perspective for this to work. Attaching screenshots of the automation And the app, Any help around this would be much appreciated. Thanks

SummaryWhen invoking a popover from a hidden top bar app, the popover never shows even though the code up to that point successfully runs. ContextA few months ago we deployed a hidden top bar app in Zendesk that listens for a notification from ZIS, invoking a a popover to act as an in-Zendesk notification. This app used to work perfectly but something has changed, which means that the app icon must be visible in the top bar before a popover can be shown. When the app icon is hidden, the code runs and we can output data to the console, but no popover is shown. There are also no app conflicts because we isolated the app in our testing. WorkaroundFrom our testing, we identified that the app icon must be visible in the top bar before we can show the popover. This means that we programatically have to show the top bar app icon, then launch the popover, hiding the popover and app icon once the notification is dismissed. We've reached out to Zendesk Support on this who advised t
I have created a support app and set up a CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps with the zcli apps:update command. The app communicates with an external API hosted in Azure API Management with OAuth. The problem is that the pipeline does not end even after updating the app. The update task is running indefinitely as shown in the screenshot. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
