Chat session gets refreshed every after page load

Hi, 
We are using the chat widget on our website. However, the chat session gets cleared every time I refresh the same page or visit another page within the page and when it does, t he users have to restart the chat, which is kind of annoying.
Is this some configuration I need to update in Zendesk?
