Hi,

I have a problem when the user submits a ticket in our mobile app, his email is in the ticket comment text, the sender is our email:

from company@email.com
customer_email: myemail@gmail.com
problem: I have a problem

The problem is when I want to reply to the ticket I reply to our own company email.

Is it possible to extract the email from the ticket text and reply to it?

Thanks!

Hi Katarzyna, welcome to the community!

It seems most likely that this is an issue in how your mobile app is submitting the ticket, do you know how that's being done?

Hi Dave ! Thanks for your quick response.

The app sends a message to our email support@ourcompany.pl and that email contains the customer data including email. Until now, we had to copy the users' email from the email text and reply. Our dev team told me that changing it to the way the email is sent from customer( end-user) email would be difficult. I am looking for the option to omit that.

Here's the example of how it loooks:

Hi Katarzyna,

I don't think there's going to be an easy automated way to fix the tickets created from these (seemingly) malformed emails sent from your mobile app. For the best experience for your customers, we'd actually recommend using our Mobile SDK to create tickets anyway, rather than sending an email: Embedding customer service in mobile apps with the Support SDK

I'm sorry I can't provide an easier answer for you.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the answer. We will work to change the system of sending the tickets to our mail, as we do not wanna use only mobile SDK.

Thanks!
