Our Community code of conduct sets the baseline for respectful, safe participation. It is the “non-negotiables” that help protect people and keep this space trustworthy.

This code applies anywhere you can participate in the community and sit alongside the Zendesk User Content and Conduct Policy and Terms of Service.

Treat people with respect

Do not engage in behavior that targets, threatens, or harms others, including:

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Threats of violence or encouragement of harm
  • Sustained trolling or attempts to derail conversations

Keep content appropriate and safe for the community

Do not post or link to content that is:

  • Deceptive, fraudulent, or intended to scam others
  • Sexually explicit or promoting sexual services
  • Promoting or encouraging illegal activity
  • Intended to provoke, inflame, or incite hostility rather than contribute constructively

Protect privacy and confidential information

Do not post, request, or share:

  • Personal information about yourself or others, such as email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses
  • Private customer or account details
  • Confidential company or third-party information (including content covered by an NDA)
  • Anything that violates someone’s privacy rights

No malicious or disruptive activity

Do not use the community to:

  • Distribute malicious links
  • Send spam, manipulate engagement, or flood threads or categories
  • Exploit, disrupt, or degrade the community experience

Be honest about who you are

Do not:

  • Impersonate others
  • Misrepresent your identity, role, or affiliation
  • Falsely imply Zendesk endorsement or sponsorship

Respect intellectual property

Do not post or link to content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, or content you don’t have permission to share.

Reporting

If you see behavior or content that may violate this code of conduct, you can report in the community.

  • Click Report on the topic or reply you are concerned about
  • You will be asked to include a reason for the report. A sentence or two about what you noticed helps our moderators review it faster.

A couple quick notes:

  • More than one person can report the same post
  • You can report more than one post

How we may respond

We prefer to resolve issues with the least disruption possible. Depending on severity and context, we may:

  • Remove content
  • Issue warnings or requests to revise content
  • Temporarily restrict posting
  • Suspend or permanently remove accounts for repeated or serious violations

Updates

We may update this code of conduct over time to reflect how the community grows and what we learn along the way.
