Feature Request Summary: 

Zendesk Explore should have the following functionality as it relates to dashboard sharing

  1. There needs to be a way to select all if we want to publish a dashboard to all groups. We currently have over 350 groups and having to select each manually is unreasonable for publishing out enterprise wide reports
  2. There should be a way to disable the send an email functionality. We do not want to spam all users with an email each time an enterprise dashboard is made visible, it should be optional whether or not we want to send the email. 
  3. The email that gets sent out when sharing a dashboard should be customizable.
  4. It would be great if we can share a report based on role. IE if we have agent activity report, we may want to share that with anyone that has an agent role, or if we have a CSAT report we may want to share that with a team lead role.

      This is fantastic feedback, thank you so much for your input. It's great timing also - we are currently rebuilding our Dashboard Builder in Explore and we will be going into Open Beta next year. Our sharing feature is something we will be reviewing and I will make sure this feedback is included in our thinking next year before we GA. 

      If there was anything else you wished us to review in Dashboard sharing we would love to hear more.

      Thank you for creating this request Reshma! I just created multiple dashboards for our client account teams and now I have to spam everyone in the company just so they have access to it. It's incredibly inconvenient to do this, as I want everyone to have access to it if they want to see it, but I don't want to blast them all with a separate email for each of the 15 new dashboards I created.

        +1 - this is becoming a very large pain point for our organization and we'd love to see a resolution prioritized in 2024. Thanks!

        thanks for sharing your feedback about dashboard sharing.

        Here are some recommendations regarding your requests:

        - Share dashboards with all groups: rather than selecting the individual groups, you can make the dashboard shareable through a link. The link can then be shared through other communication channels like emails and instant messaging services. You can learn more about it here.

        - Disable email notification when sharing: this feature is available in the new dashboard builder. You can learn more about it here.

        - Customize email when sharing: this is not possible at the moment. Can you please share what additional context you would like to add to the email when the dashboard is shared?

        - Share a dashboard based on the role: dashboard restrictions allow to dynamically adapt the data based on the viewer. You can learn more about it here
