Workaround for adding hyperlinks to form

I have a need to add hyperlinks to my Help form. The purpose is to ensure users have access to a prerequisite course before they continue with the submission of access requests.

The only option I have right now is a Notification Trigger that responds back AFTER submission and provides them the hyperlinks.

I'd like to be more proactive and reduce the need of relying on emails. Has anyone come up with a way to make this workaround work? i see no movement on the feature request that was submitted many years ago and as of 2024 it was identified as not being added to the roadmap - which is disheartening.

Hi @alyssa11

You should be able to customise how users progress through the request flow (for example, guiding users to review course prerequisite instructions before the form is shown).

To suggest the best workaround, could you clarify:

  • Is this a native Help Center request form, or a custom/embedded form outside Zendesk?
  • Are Help Center theme edits or JavaScript an option, or does this need to remain fully out-of-the-box?

Yes 100% yes, we need the ability to have text boxes in any position along the form  to give further context to the nature of the field etc.
It would also be good to be able to set a different customer facing label for the fields depending on the form so that they make more sense in the specific situation.

To recommend the right workaround, can you confirm:
• Is the form in Guide or Support only?
• Is this internal or external?
• Do you need to inform users, or actively block submission until course completion?
• Do you have access to edit the Help Center theme?
