Hey there, I noticed that related articles in the guide are not direct links to each article and have rel="nofollow" tag. This likely results in less page rank transfer to those pages in SEO. Is there a way to change this?

The links shown above are populated by the related activity helper and unfortunately cannot be changed. If you'd like to have more flexibility over how the elements are populated in the help center, you can definitely add some custom javascript to replicate the behavior of "related articles" via the Guide admin.
