Zendesk Article PDF attachments

Recently, Zendesk PDF article attachments were announced as being supported by the PDF Ingestion EAP (

)

It’s not entirely clear to me what this means (or how it works).

Does this mean that it can read PDF from articles in a Zendesk HC that has been added as an external source? 

Or does that also include PDF added to your own articles? (Which I’d prefer)

When testing, the latter did not seem to work. (I tried the same PDF from a Google Drive external connection and that worked)
