I've read, I believe, that labels used on an article template will not carry over to the new article when the template is created. One, is that still correct? Two, is there a workaround to have select labels applied, i.e. such as the template name, to the new article? I'm trying to reduce the need for our team to remember what labels to apply and create less administrative work to maintain them on all articles.
The Promoted Articles section is small and awkward in the help center (see screenshot). Is there a way to adjust this without coding? If coding is required, where can this be done in the settings? Couldn't find this in the ZD help, apologies if the information exists already.

Here is the html:<div><table style="width: 250; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;"><tbody><tr><td width="30" height="30"><img style="vertical-align: top; margin-right: 3px;" src="https://theme.zdassets.com/theme_assets/11229426/89198540fc0690d1fe5ea72369eec2678823beef.png" width="30" height="30" /></td><td valign="baseline"><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; margin-top: 2px;">{{current_user.name}} </span></td></tr></tbody></table></div><div><div id="content" style="width: 250; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-variant: small-caps; margin-left: 2px; margin-top: 5px;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #333333;">{{current_user.signature}}</span><br /><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 11px; color: #009966;">TEL:</span> {{cur
Dear Zendesk Community, I am working in the Copenhagen Theme (version 2.14.0) and I would like to move the location of the 'submit a request' button to the location of the search bar (See the screenshot below). Has anyone found a solution for it yet? Thank you for any help or tips in advance!
How can I rearrange the Your Email address field so it appears after custom fields? I've followed the instructions on this post https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4514859863834/comments/4515281753626 but it doesn't work.
Hello! I am starting to work on the Help Center and wanted to see if anyone can help. I am wanting to create folders so my end users can navigate through each folder for KB articles. Example: OneDrive, Outlook, etc etc Thanks
Hi there, I have customers that we moved from an old help desk into our main one (zendesk). We have a field that has the old ticket in a field that is displayed inside of the ticket but trying to get it to be a column for these customers to learn what their ticket ids are for the meantime. Would this be possible with an #is or #if statement do you think? Or is could be do it based on the customer org id? Been searching the help center to see if anyone is able to add columns based on some minor logic.
We want to move the article base of a specific product line to its own help center within the same Zendesk instance. I'm pretty sure this counts as moving articles to a different instance altogether so the article IDs will change, but wanted to check if anyone on the community has made an article move within the same Zendesk instance and managed to keep the article URLs the same.
I am working on the guide for our business and I am looking to change the title on the requests/new page I want it to show the title for the form in place of the {{t 'submit_a_request'}}. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hello! I am looking to hide recent_activity on the homepage based on the user role. I do not want end-users to see this section, but leave it in place for Agents and Admins. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
At the bottom of our "Submit a request" form in our Help Center is an automatic upload form for adding attachments. I would like to add a description similar to the description I've added to my other fields. The problem is, the Attachments field is not accessible in our Ticket Fields Admin Settings so I'm not able to add a description yet I am able to add one to all the other fields (i.e. Subject, etc). Below is an example showing our "Submit a request" form for context. I looked at the HTML for our Help Center and found there is a template called "New Request Page" with a reference to "{{request_form}}" but I'm not sure how to access that or edit it.
Is there a way to put a icon in the headers on the Category page? For an example, I'd like to put a different icon in front of each H2, but still in line with the copy. I'd like to do this on the category page and section page. TIA!
I'm currently experiencing the issue that Zendesk is redirected end users to the My Activities page even if the required fields are left blank.I was checking the backend and could see that no tickets were created. But no error message appeared that required fields are empty and redirected users to the My Activities page. Previously, I was trying to implement said code from article https://support.zendesk.com/hc/fr/community/posts/4409515169946-Requiring-a-ticket-attachment-if-a-particular-dropdown-option-is-selected I suspected that this was the issue, so I've removed the code again. But I'm still getting the same issue. I am trying to force end users to provide attachments if they choose a specific value in a drop down field.
Hi, after a customer sign-in, he/she lands on the ''Submit request page" currently of the Help Center. Can that be changed/redirected to the "My Requests" by default? How or where can I define this? Thanks for your help, Walter
Is there a way to hide the "last edited" date if it was longer than a specific period, for example 30 days, a year etc? Background: if we have recently updated an article, we want users to see that it recently changed and instructions they may have followed previously may no longer be relevant or may have been corrected. This is the code that we have in the theme at the moment: {{#is article.created_at article.edited_at}} {{date article.created_at timeago=true}} {{else}} {{t 'updated'}} {{date article.edited_at timeago=true}} {{/is}}
How can I effectively display certain/specific forms under one brand in the help center I created. For instance, there are two buttons to click which are Europe or North America Forms. When the user clicks on Europe Form button I want to ensure only the relevant Europe forms will show after clicking that button. I have provided emails below. I have name the beginning of the Europe forms EU.
Hello,On my ticket creation form, we have a dropdown for product selection. When customers select our open-source product, I want to point them to our community. For that to be done, I would like to identify a specific product selection in the dropbox so I can disable the "submit" button in the JS code, but I could not find a way to get the selected data from the dropbox. Have any of you ever done that, or would be able to help me?
Is there a way to change the "attachment (optional)" label on the request form, to something else?
Hi, I am looking for a way to write text on the main page of the Copenhagen theme to the agents only.
In some of our articles, we include a plan filter that displays different content depending on which button you click. A great example of this is our Guide resources article which shows only the articles for the plan you select. So how can you set these up for yourself? Filter buttons like these are not included in Guide. However, you can add them using a little HTML trickery. In the rest of this tip, you'll work through an example. Step 1: Set up the buttons First, you'll add some buttons. Switch to the HTML view of your article (that's the button at the end of the toolbar ). Next, add the following HTML code at the position you want to see the buttons (usually near the beginning of the article): <div id="plan-filter"><h4>Select your plan to filter resources:&nbsp; &nbsp;</h4><h4><span style="vertical-align:text-bottom"><button class="button plan-name" name="plan1" type="button">Plan 1</button>&nbsp;<button clas
I have utilized the dataset exports options within Zendesk for some time now. When I go to use that functionality today, I get taken to the 'Guide' page with an error stating the page does not exist
I'm trying to hide the Attachments options on a custom request form in Guide when a custom field dropdown is set to No, and leave the Attachments fields alone when it's set to Yes or not set. I've got the JS code to hide the Attachments bits, but I can't for the life of me figure out the correct if statement. Fair warning, I'm not really familiar with JS, but I'm not new to coding. I've tried variations on the following, with no luck.: if (document.querySelector('.request_custom_fields_24800067478036').value= "[custom field tag or custom field value]") and if ($('.request_custom_fields_24800067478036').value= "[custom field tag or custom field value]") Any help is appreciated. EDIT: I was able to find someone doing something similar, and found code that lead to this. Ideally I'd only need the first if, but looks like if they change between the two options, unless I have the second if the attachments won't come back. If anyone knows a better way to do this, please let me know, but this
Hello, I have just made an account on zendesk and want to know if we can add our own number to Zendesk Talk while using zendesk on trial?
There is no way fo us to reach a Zendesk rep to renew our subscription. Of all our software vendors, you guys are the worst with support. I am sick of wasting my time.
Hi, I would like to know if anyone knows how to specifically change or style the "X" icon that clears the Search Input Field in Guide on the homepage of our Zendesk Guide.
