Hoping the community can help. When I was uploading our data, I chose to upload my contacts as “Deals” based on the Zendesk Documentation which explained that Leads are companies that you have not communicated with, and Deals are companies that you have communicated with before. Deals also suits me better, because I can use the pipeline to show where each company is in the sales process, % of winning etc. However, I cannot use the “Log a Visit” button in a Deal contact. It is the most frustrating thing. Why would we suddenly NOT visit potential clients, once they move from “lead” to “deal”? One of the biggest selling points for Zendesk to our company was the ability to log visits. I am now facing one of two options - unless someone can enlighten me? 1. Bulk delete all my companies from “Deals” and re-import them as “Leads” - which means I will lose all my sales pipeline data. OR2. Inform my MD that having spent a huge amount of money on this Zendes
Hi everyone,Due to the Zendesk Sell shutdown, our team started considering finding a new solution in advance. So, can you suggest any good alternatives to move to and why? Thanks!
Hello,My name is Jeremiah O’Neal, and I work for the San Diego Unified School District. I’m reaching out because I was quoted $1,380 for access to Zendesk with the full AI experience. Before moving forward, I wanted to ask whether there are any available discounts, education/public-sector pricing options, or special accommodations that could apply to my situation.I have an official workplace accommodation on file that requires the use of Zendesk or similar software to perform my essential job duties. Because this tool directly supports my documented learning and memory-related accommodation needs, I’m trying to determine whether Zendesk can offer reduced pricing for a single-seat license or provide an alternative plan that meets these requirements at a lower cost.If there is any flexibility for education employees, public-sector employees, or accommodation-based pricing exceptions, I’d greatly appreciate guidance.Thank you for your time and any help you can provide.Sincerely,Jeremiah O
Can the sell contact record be updated to "no longer active"? This is not currently an available feature in Sell. Currently, you can only delete a contact record - https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408832226842-Deleting-leads-and-contactsThis would be helpful when someone no longer works for the company, but we need to keep their communication history.Could the system be set up to stop any further email communication with the specific person? This will help ensure that no accidental or unnecessary messages are sent to that individual.
Hello- We are attempting to import DEAL data and have run into a problem - how do we import/associate the "Associated Contacts" for a given DEAL? We are using the built-in "import" function, and importing from an Excel spreadsheet. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks! Mike
Hi All We use a global forwarding system from our server to the “get base” email address so that we capture all emails from the company to clients. However, it is capturing and creating contacts for non-customers - for example, internal emails between staff. It creates a “Contact” for every single email address, even if it is not a customer on Sell, and stores all the emails on the platform. Is there a way to stop the system from creating a contact for specific email addresses?
My boss has complained that when he sends an email to multiple recipients, he receives emails saying “One of 3 recipients viewed your email for the first time”, but he can't figure out if there is a way to see which specific recipient viewed it. Is there a place in Sell where he can find this information?
We migrated to Zendesk Sell at the end of last year but still have documents to attach to our legacy deals. I noticed there's only GET but no POST method. Since we don't have an option, we're considering an alternative to automate the upload by using headless and Selenium Webdriver on the front end. Any ideas around this? Only GET method on API https://developer.zendesk.com/api-reference/sales-crm/firehose/documents/ Complains about the lack of a POST method documented on the API https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4913475572250--Uploading-Attachments-to-Sell?input_string=Sell%20API%20attachments%20documents https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408836479386-Attaching-documents-to-leads-contacts-and-deals
Hi ,I am currently experiencing an issue with the Firehose API of Zendesk Sell. I have acquired the top position by hitting https://api.getbase.com/v3/collaborations/stream?limit=100&position=top, and I stored in it in DB which was obtained approximately 4 to 5 days ago. When I try to hit the api https://api.getbase.com/v3/collaborations/stream with acquired position,it results 410 error.I need to know the behaviour of this position. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter.I hope someone can help me with this issue@Christopher Kennedy
For example, If I have a list of 100 leads, contacts, or deals, my options for selecting them in the table view is to either select all of them or select them one by one. Most sites allow for selecting a range of leads by using the shift key. This does not work in Sell and forces unnecessary filtering or manually selecting records one by one.
I was not able to find a way to edit & or add new value to client status and status of potential client? Would be happy about a feedback. Chris
Hello, I have been using Zendesk as a CRM for years. I am looking at videos to learn how to maximize the platform but really overwhelmed. I am looking to see if there is a client portal within Zendesk where I can share documents with my clients in a centralized location just for me and the client and also within that client space we can communicate as well and maybe I can share information and announcements? Can you advise?
Hi, The new Custom objects cannot be used with sell. For now We can use only legacy version to extend data. How can we create relations with new Custom.objects that can be useful with related widget? Or how can we buy more legacy records, cause we have a lot of data to manage?
Hi! I am using the Zendesk Sell REST API version '2' and authorized on behalf of a user who has the 'admin' role. The user has all permissions. I want to load all pipelines, but for some reason, the '/pipelines' endpoint does not return all pipelines, even though the '/stages' endpoint returns stages that reference pipelines that are not in the list. What could be the problem? Thanks, Anton.
With converting a Lead with the out of the box field "LeadSource" this information gets lost. But for reporting this information is important. Is there an idea to convert this information also for next steps?
I found now way to mix ranking standard with custom fields? Yes I can group fields but does not reflect on data input mask for users.
For Marketing stuff it is important to have salutation on leads (Mr, Mrs,...) but also with the feature to convert to contact. Is there a standard field or we need to create a custom field?
Hi ZD community, Hoping for some urgent assistance. Very high level, we want tickets submitted via certain forms and forwarded into Zendesk from specific email addresses to not appear in the ‘My store requests’ menu on our Help Center page. For context, we have two menu's for users; 'My requests' which shows a users requests, and 'My store requests' which shows their organisations requests: I found this community post where a community member suggested the below code solution: However I cannot get it to work correctly for us. Where do we place the closing {{/isn't}} in the following code: <tbody> {{#each requests}} {{#isnt type 'question'}}{{/isnt}} <tr {{#is status 'closed'}} class="request-closed" {{/is}}> <td class="request-info requests-table-info"> &n
In Sell, when creating a smart list to send an email out to certain companies or contacts (same thing for us) I've filtered our companies/contacts with who have purchased and not purchased. I'd like to send an email or pull a report to email the filtered group of 500+ companies, the problem is the email associated with that company doesn't show up, so theres no one to send the email too.
Has anyone else experienced that emails are not sending through Sell today? This is seriously disrupting our business.
Curious how I can pull lead response time? Zendesk has article stating response time is paramount in the sales process, is there a way to track the time in minutes or hours from when the lead was entered until the first activity?
Im using the Sell CRM to grab deals GET https://api.getbase.com/v2/deals The api shows the parameter When I make a call using this parameter, It returns the following error GET https://api.getbase.com/v2/deals?includes=contactsGET https://api.getbase.com/v2/deals/1?includes=contacts "error": { "code":"invalid_param", "message":"invalid request query parameter", "details":"The request query parameter 'includes/0' is malformed, missing, or has an invalid value (is not included in the list)"} It would be nice to see an example of this parameter and how it should be used.It would also be nice to see a list of available resources that can be included with deals Ive had no luck finding an explanation or example of this parameter being used.
Since we have changed our email from one office365 account to another office365 account, zendesk disconnects 1-2 times a day. Please help
I want to create a custom field that is a calculated value... For example, on a Deal record I want to have the total deal value be a calculated result and not a field that a user manually enters. The calculation would be based on two other numeric custom fields on the Deal record (for example, a 'Volume' custom field and a 'Unit Price' custom field)... The end user would provide the inputs for Volume and Unit Price, and then I'd like to have a third custom field that is a calculation of Volume * Unit Price. Most other CRMs allow for this type of custom field -- is this something that Zendesk Sell accommodates?
We are onboarding to Zendesk sell and one of our use case is to assign multiple tasks with different priority and task type to our sales team. The task option in Zendesk sell seems very vanilla. I would want to atleast add a validation (What the type is about) and the priority of the task (How severe or important the task is). Is there any way to achieve this?
